It has long been a strategic location, as you’ll see from the remnants of German bunkers and castles dotted around the island.

This place is steeped in history, but it also feels timeless. Its rugged cliffs, gentle beaches, and cobblestone streets in St. Peter Port, Guernsey’s capital are astonishing.

Guernsey is perfect for beach lovers, history buffs, and outdoor enthusiasts.

The island has picturesque beaches like Cobo Bay and Petit Bot Bay, which I found perfect for a lazy day or a scenic walk.

For history enthusiasts, the Castle Cornet and Hauteville House (Victor Hugo’s old home!) are absolute must-sees.

The Premier Inn is one of the best options for travelers on a budget without sacrificing comfort. It’s clean, and and modern, and the staff are incredibly welcoming.

Typically around £60-£80 per night.

2. St. George’s Guesthouse

Location

Also in St. Peter Port, just a short walk from the main shopping area and bus station.

Amenities

Free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and a lounge area.

Experience

I loved the homey vibe at St. George’s, and the breakfast was surprisingly generous. 

It’s great value for the price and has a real local charm.

3. Abbey Court Hotel

Location

Situated near the lovely Candie Gardens and not far from the center.

Amenities

This hotel felt like a cozy retreat. The gardens are stunning, and it’s close enough to the main sites without being too noisy.
